A key highlight of the MIX Flip series has always been its functional cover display. Xiaomi appears to be retaining the large, 4-inch cover screen and optimizing it further with HyperOS 2. The outer screen is reportedly being redesigned with a dedicated section for running apps seamlessly, while the rest of the screen remains available for extra content.

For photography, the Mix Flip 2 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide snapper. The device is also expected to come with other features like an IR blaster, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi is expected to hold a major launch event later this month to unveil not just the Mix Flip 2, but also Redmi’s compact gaming tablet and K80 Ultra flagship phone.
